Laser Engraving & Cutting
Our UV, YAG, fiber, and CO2 lasers can engrave various substrates by vaporizing a precise amount of surface material. Laser engraving uses a beam of focused light to create a shallow incision on the material surface, while deep laser engraving creates a deeper cavity up to 0.030”.
Laser cutting uses a focused laser to cut precise designs out of thin, two-dimensional substrates. For both laser engraving and cutting, we can achieve tolerances of +/- 0.002″ and work with materials such as:
- Metals
- Plastics
- Wood
- Rubber
- Fabric
- Glass
Precision CNC Machining & Tool Room
CNC machining is a subtractive manufacturing process that removes material from a workpiece to form a desired shape. Accubeam offers automated precision CNC machining for both plastics and metals, including steel, carbon steel, iron-based superalloys, and ferrous materials. For custom projects, our in-house tooling experts can design and build tools for your unique parts.
Our machining equipment can achieve tolerances of +/- 0.001” and include:
- (1) 3-axis CNC mill
- (1) Manual lathe
- (3) Bridgeport machining centers
Industrial Blade Grinding & Sharpening
We use MVM industrial blade grinders and sharpeners to keep our machining tools sharp. Blade grinding and sharpening is crucial to the precision and efficiency of our machining operations.
Surface Grinding
At Accubeam, we offer precision surface grinding services to finish ferrous metal parts. Like Blanchard grinding, surface grinding uses an abrasive tool to straighten the component, reduce it to a specific thickness, or create a clean surface. While Blanchard grinding is ideal for larger parts, surface grinding uses a small rotary tool to create high-quality finishes on smaller parts. In addition to surface grinding, we offer:
- Planetary grinding
- Diameter grinding
- Outside diameter (OD) grinding
OD Grinders, Slitter Blades, & Sharpeners
Our outer diameter (OD) grinders, slitter blades, and sharpeners keep our tools and blades sharp for laser cutting, machining, and other operations. Sharp tools ensure precision, accuracy, and efficiency.
Blanchard Grinders
A Blanchard grinder uses a vertical grinding spindle, cylindrical grinding wheel, and magnetic chuck to remove material from large, flat workpieces. The chuck holds the metal workpiece and rotates it against the grinding wheel, which can remove material in two directions. This technique achieves excellent flatness and tight tolerances for large machinery components that do not need a high-quality surface finish.
Common applications of Blanchard grinding include:
- Forgings
- Castings
- Die blocks
- Stampings
- Rotary tables
- Mold plates
Finishing, Sanding, Tumbling, & Blasting
Aluminum, brass, copper, stainless steel, and other metal parts often require finishing operations to prepare them for further processing or assembly. Accubeam offers a variety of metal finishing services, including:
- Edge Rounding
- Graining
- Tumbling
- Vibratory Deburring
Shipping/Receiving
Conveniently located next to our laser operations, Accubeam’s 12,000-square-foot vendor-managed inventory (VMI) facility handles order shipping, receiving, and processing. We follow a strict internal process to control and segregate all products accordingly for security purposes. Packing lists and shipping documents will bear only your company’s information to make your customers’ experience as seamless as possible.
With Accubeam managing your logistics, you can focus on improving and growing your business.
Production Staging
A production staging area is a zone where products are put temporarily on the floor in front of loading docks, waiting to be transported. At Accubeam, our 12,000-square foot facility has more than enough room to manage your entire order from storing, staging, and eventually shipping.
Customer Service & Sales
Our three core values are Quality, Experience, and Trust. We’re continually expanding our capabilities so that we can offer greater value to our customers, which include companies in these industries:
- Aerospace
- Defense
- Electronics
- Medical
- Marine
- Promotional
- Transportation
Engineering & Artwork
Accubeam offers design services to customize your products according to specific aesthetic or functional needs. In addition to helping you choose fonts, styles, and colors, we can recommend specific types of services (e.g., laser engraving or marking) depending on your materials.
Management
Accubeam’s 14,000-square-foot facility houses temperature-controlled work areas, office and conference rooms, and rack/skid areas for customer-supplied materials. In addition to our core capabilities, we also offer vendor-managed inventory (VMI) and drop shipping services for recurring product orders. We can pull, process, and ship products directly to your customers using your shipping details.
Quality Assurance
As experts in laser technology, we make sure laser power density is proportional to material cutting speeds and choose the proper focal length for the material. We maintain tight tolerances on our machines and continually monitor gas assist pressure to optimize cutting effectiveness and efficiency. To verify the quality of finished products, we use image dimension measurement systems, which can quickly perform hundreds of measurements with an accuracy of +/- 2 um.
Accubeam also meets ISO 9001, AS9100, NSF, and ANAB requirements, which certify quality products and services for various industries.
